Clean air
We aim to take action to reduce emissions and improve the air quality in the communities in which we operate.

Responsible consumption
We will reduce the amount of natural resources our operations consume. We will work towards a circular economy, by cutting waste, pollution and emissions from our business.

We have a robust structure in place to review and manage our environmental impact, including climate-related risks.
We are working to implement the recommendations of the Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
We support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), recognising them as a common definition and roadmap for a better sustainable future.
We’re taking part in a unique UK-wide project in 2022, inviting people to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”.
Going electric
Earlier in 2021, we announced a ten-fold increase in the number of electric vehicles in our fleet with plans to introduce around 3,000 additional electric vans throughout the UK.

Partnering with London Electric Vehicle Company to trial its new VN5 prototype electric van – based on a typical London taxi cab - for parcel and letter deliveries later this month.
Our iconic red trucks and vans are as familiar a sight on Britain’s roads as the famous post boxes.
We’ve made big improvements in service quality for our customers.
We’ve been trialling drone technology to see whether it can help us to better serve remote and island communities.
