Both agencies helped improve the quality of their mailings and streamlined their production and mailing processes; delivering cost savings and efficiencies.

Results

Just Travel saw a 61% uplift in ROI for the two campaigns (based on campaign income year on year) compared to their previous approach.

Posh Totty Designs wanted to test a catalogue that showcased their product range, increased basket value and expanded their audience beyond London and South East.

Solution

A Royal Mail First Time User discount helped Posh Totty Designs to mail the catalogue to 50k customers and prospects. Epsilon Abacus analysed Posh Totty Designs’ current customers and built an affinity model that identified a target universe of prospects. A 25-page catalogue was mailed the week before Black Friday to drive sales over the busy weekend.

Results

Conversion to sales on Posh Totty Designs’ website (poshtottydesigns.com) tripled over the Black Friday Weekend. Sales stayed elevated for the week after. AOV for customers who received the catalogue was 35% higher.

PJS Direct’s annual catalogue is a targeted, cost efficient way of reaching a niche audience. A cut in their budget meant they needed to cut the number of catalogues they were planning to mail in January 2017 by nearly 30%.

Solution

PJS Direct partnered with Mailbird – a trusted provider in Royal Mail’s Mail Made Easy service. As PJS hadn’t been using Royal Mail to mail previous catalogues, Mailbird suggested they apply for Royal Mail’s First Time User (FTU) savings. The scheme would give them a 30% postage credit on their first three mailings, allowing PJS to increase their volumes from 11,000 back to their original target of 14,500 catalogues.

Results

A spike in sales is seen the moment the January catalogue landed and PJS Direct continue to receive sales for months after, delivering an ROI of 2:1.

The savings allowed us to mail more – we were able to mail 3,500 potential customers which makes for better business.
