You call the shots

Returns Management is a bespoke service. We’ll discuss your needs and build a tailored solution to meet them.

We’ll provide you with a return address with a dedicated postcode where we’ll receive and process all your returns. How we process them is entirely up to you. Returned Items with no reusable value can be destroyed or securely recycled. Items can be salvaged and any reusable materials like gifts and samples – or even important documents like cheques – can be returned to you.

Gathering good data

We will also consult with you to build tailored data specifications to capture important information from any returned mail item including name, address and campaign number. And we’ll work with you and your printer to ensure the service is set up for smooth returns handling.

Reason codes can be provided, giving details of why your mail has been returned, so you can gain insight into customers, their behaviour and how it might affect you in the future. With this information, you can improve both your targeting and your ROI for campaigns.

Cleaning bad data

We’ll produce an electronic file of ‘goneaway’ records based on your return management specification. You can use this to electronically update your customer database or mailing files so that more of your mailings reach more of the right people.

At your request, your returned records can be enhanced using industry approved movers datasets, so you can understand why the item didn’t reach its intended audience and take appropriate action.
