Price changes from 3 January 2023
- International Tracked services (country-priced):
- We are reducing or freezing Tracked prices* across most countries, with a few exceptions.
- We are extending the maximum weights for International Tracked and International Tracked & Signed parcels up to 30kg (product codes MP7/MTE).
- International Tracked Heavier:
- We will be introducing a new International Tracked Heavier product for parcels up to 30kg, with dimensions up to 61cm x 46cm x 46cm (product codes HVB/HVC).
- This product will be available to all destinations where we currently offer International Tracked and/or International Tracked & Signed.
Due to ongoing industrial action by the Communication Workers Union (CWU), the planned weight increase of our existing Tracked and Tracked & Signed international products (MP7/MTE) and the introduction of new heavier and larger products (HVB/HVC) has been delayed. We will launch this capability as soon as we can. Please stay tuned to this webpage for further updates.
- International Untracked Business Products (country-priced): We are generally increasing prices to reflect higher delivery costs – please consult the rate cards attached below for more detail on these changes.
- Zonal-priced international services (Tracked, untracked and Response): We will be increasing all legacy and zonal product prices by 15-20%
* Price reductions / freeze based on each destination’s average item weight (data from Royal Mail volumes).

We are removing the temporary Air Carrier Supplements for all destinations from 3 January 2023, incorporating them into our base prices. Air capacity costs have recently stabilised which allows us to remove this surcharge and simplify our pricing.
The temporary Air Carrier Supplements currently applied to China, Japan, Israel, Iceland and Russia will be removed from 3 January 2023.
Please visit royalmail.com/aircarriersupplements for current air carrier supplement prices (valid until 2 January 2023).
The Royal Mail International surcharge enables us to respond to the impact of the volatile currency market on key cost areas for our business, including fuel, conveyancing, and international delivery charges. A flexible International surcharge enables us to keep prices as low as possible whilst enabling us to react to future currency and fuel related cost changes.
Due to unfavourable movements in Sterling exchange rates, we will be increasing the International surcharge from 4% to 6.5% from 3 January 2023.
To keep up to date on the level of International Surcharge please visit royalmail.com/surcharges
