Prices 2019

To see current prices please visit www.royalmail.com/current-postage-prices

  • Price changes to business parcels from 7 October 2019

Some of our Parcel prices are changing from 7 October 2019

We are increasing the prices of two non-barcoded products, Royal Mail 24 and Royal Mail 48 on 7 October 2019. This increase will apply to Parcel formats only and prices will increase by 5p per parcel across all parcel weight bands.

Many of our customers now produce barcoded labels and benefit from the efficiencies Royal Mail gets from processing parcels which are barcoded.

To find out more about how to barcode, if you are not already doing so, simply visit royalmail.com/parcelshippingsolutions

Alternatively there are a number of approved third parties offering barcoded shipping solutions. Remember that if you barcode your parcels you will be able to obtain online Delivery Confirmation, as we scan the barcodes on delivery and make the information available on Royal Mail Track and Trace. Customers who already use a Royal Mail or approved Third Party Shipping Solution to produce their barcoded labels will not see any price changes.

    What will be changing?

    • Royal Mail 24® Parcel format (SU1 and SU2) – 5p increase per parcel across all parcel weight bands
    • Royal Mail 48® Parcel format (SU1 and SU2) – 5p increase per parcel across all parcel weight bands

Sending mail internationally is changing with franking

From 1 January 2019, the changes to the Account terms and conditions ask for Customs Data to be provided electronically. There is also a need to add an S10 barcode to any item that carries anything other than general correspondence. We understand that it can be difficult for franking customers to comply with the S10 requirement at present and we are developing plans to make this easier for you.

For more information, please visit www.royalmail.com/terms-and-conditions

We are simplifying how we collect underpayments for customers using a franking machine with Royal Mail Mailmark® technology

We announced last year that we would begin to roll out a new underpayment collection process - any underpaid amount plus a reduced surcharge fee will now be collected by your franking machine manufacturer. The process is now live with over half of all Royal Mail Mailmark® franking users. We will continue to roll out the updated process to remaining users during the coming year.
