1. How do I know whether to select Response Plus or Response Standard?

    When you applied for your licence you chose one or the other. Either check your customer schedule or call us on 03457 950 950 if you need to check which choice you made.

  2. Why choose Response Plus or Response Standard?

    If you’re sending response mail of a standard size/weight (maximum size C5+; maximum weight 100g) that can be sorted by our machines, use Response Plus. With this, we’ll give you a discount off the regular postage price. You can use Response Plus service for Business Reply Plus and Freepost Plus designs.

    If you want more freedom with the design of your response mail, use the Response Standard service. You can choose Business Reply and Freepost designs.  With this service, each item is hand sorted, so it costs you more.

  3. Does Royal Mail need to check my mailing piece?

    If you follow our design guidelines in this tool, your mailing piece should be fine. However, as part of the terms and conditions you must send a copy of Business Reply Standard and Freepost Standard artwork to the following address for checking. But if you want us to check it, we are happy to do so. Please send it to the address below:

  5. What’s the difference between Business Reply and Freepost?

    Business Reply (Plus or Standard) is our formal response mail service, which is considered more businesslike. Freepost (Plus or Standard) is more informal and consumer-friendly, so is more appropriate for consumer mailings.
