However, an air service between Edinburgh and East Midlands airport was cancelled last night due to technical issues. This may mean a delay to a small amount of mail posted in Central Scotland for delivery across parts of England. In addition, fog at Lerwick airport meant the late running of a service from Aberdeen. This may mean a delay to a small amount of mail posted across the UK for delivery in the Shetlands today.

Changes to mail processing for the TF postcode area
On Tuesday 14th May we started the transfer of mail processing for the TF postcode area, from the Shrewsbury Mail Centre to our North West Midlands Mail Centre at Wolverhampton.
There should be no change to customers’ existing collection arrangements or driver and these moves should not affect the delivery of mail; deliveries will continue to be made from the local delivery office.
The relocation of processing to our North West Midlands Mail Centre represents a significant investment by Royal Mail in services in the Midlands. This move is an important part of our programme to improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of our operation, by making the best possible use of our buildings, machinery and resources.
