Royal Mail is pleased to report that the ballot on the recently negotiated pay deal has been completed, with members of the Communications Workers Union voting to accept the deal.
We sincerely apologise to all of our customers for any disruption and inconvenience the recent strikes may have caused, and are pleased to confirm that, with one or two isolated exceptions, the backlog of mail has now been cleared and we are back to normal.
Royal Mail is now able to go ahead with plans to modernise the business and make it more flexible, efficient and able to compete more effectively, and so provide an even better level of service to our customers.
