There are numerous Postbus routes carrying more than 50,000 passengers a year in the UK, so there may well be a service near you. It’s ideal if you don’t drive and need to get around, or for visitors, tourists and anyone who wants to leave the car behind.
Postbus fares differ across the UK depending on where you are and how far you travel and there are concessionary fares on all Postbus services.
You can hail a Postbus at any point along its route and it will stop to pick you up, providing road and traffic conditions allow. As Postbuses need to deliver mail in the morning and pick up in the afternoon, there are usually two services a day from Monday to Friday.
In more remote areas there's one service a day, and in others, service may run on Saturday morning. Postbuses don't always travel the same route on the return journey, so you may have to plan your day and return journey carefully.
