Normal deliveries and collections should take place in all parts of Scotland today.
Yesterday morning the flights from Inverness-Kirkwall (Orkney Islands) and Aberdeen-Sumburgh (Shetland Isles) arrived late due to fog at the departure airports. As a result this mail couldn't be processed and delivered yesterday but will be delivered this morning.
Glasgow Commonwealth Games – 23 July to 3 August
The Glasgow Commonwealth Games is the largest sporting event in Scotland for many years. Glasgow will be a busy place during that time as it hosts over a million competitors, officials and fans. We have worked with the Games organisers and the local authorities to ensure that we can maintain normal services during this event and we do not anticipate any major problems. We have created a unique webpage and we will add fresh information to this Service Update page if there is any particular impact on our services during the period.
Local Holiday in Scotland (DG13) - Friday 25 July
Due to a local holiday tomorrow Friday 25 July, there will be no deliveries or collections taking place in the DG13 postcode area. Normal services will resume on Saturday 26 July. Information on future local holidays can be found on our Public Holiday webpage.
Items for which we’ve left a ‘Something for you’ card
