Issue Date – 19 May 2009
Royal Mail is producing a Miniature Sheet, Presentation Pack, First Day Cover, Stamp Cards and Press Sheet, to accompany the Action for Species - Plants stamp issue
Miniature Sheet
To celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, Kate Stephens has designed this superb Miniature Sheet. It features four new stamps showing some of their landmark buildings at Wakehurst Place and Kew, including the world famous Palm House, which was the inspiration for the backdrop of the sheet.

First Day Covers
There are two First Day Covers in this issue, one features all ten Mint Stamps and the other, the Kew Gardens Miniature Sheet - take your pick. Both contain a filler card that tells you about how the SSSIs – Sites of Special Scientific, were set up to protect plants and other wildlife to ensure they survive. Like all First Day Covers, they must be pre-ordered and are not available after the 19 May, the date of issue. This is the only chance you will have to order your own personalised and date-stamped keepsake, so why not order yours now.
