  1. How do I submit my application?
Go to the Christmas jobs homepage. Search for a job using your postcode. Click on the job and click 'apply' at the bottom of the page. You will then be asked a series of questions. Please ensure you have not applied for another Christmas 2009 job as you can only make one application.

Once you have completed all the questions you will be asked if you have applied to work for us before. If you know you already have an online job account please select yes. If you do not have an online job account please select no.  If you have an account you will need to enter your email address and password. This will then add the job to your account.

If you do not have an account please enter your email address and create a password. This will create an account and add this job to it. You will then need to complete the three sections at the bottom of the 'summary page'. Your application is now complete!

  3. How can I be sure my application has successfully been submitted?
When you have successfully submitted an application you will receive a confirmation email. If you have not received this email then you can check the status of your application by logging in to your online account. On your summary page it will say the status of your current application. If the status is incomplete you need to complete the three sections at the bottom of the page, and ensure there is a blue tick next to each section. Once you have done this a link will appear for you to submit. If there is no current application there please follow the instructions for the next question.

  4. I have been invited to interview but when I go online there are no slots available.
This is because all the available slots have been booked. However Xmas campaigns are updated daily, therefore please keep checking the website and book a slot as and when they are available. Please note there is no time limit on this email invite.

If there are no slots on the system then you need to keep checking as they are updated daily. Later slots may be added however it is unlikely that earlier slots will be. You may have registered more than one email address on our system. If you have the email has been sent to the email address that you applied with. Please check these emails. If you are still unable to locate the email please login on the Royal Mail jobs homepage.

  7. My job reference number has changed/ The invite to interview I have received is for a different location to where I originally applied.
This is due to our internal recruitment process and is nothing to worry about. Please attend your interview as scheduled and advise where you want to work, and what shift you want to do. If you are then hired, it will be at the original place you applied for, and for your desired shift.

  9. I have applied for a Christmas 2009 position however when I log into my job account it is showing as withdrawn.

You are only able to apply for one Christmas 2009 application. If you have applied for more than one Christmas job then your surplus applications will be withdrawn. When you initially apply for an Xmas position it does ask if you have applied for another Xmas position this year. The reason it asks this is because you only need to register your details once, and applying for more than one position will cause problems with your application.

If you have only submitted one application then an advisor will need to check why your application has been withdrawn, therefore please contact the recruitment support team.

  10. I applied at the same time as my friends. They have been offered an interview but I have not heard anything yet.
If you have received a confirmation email your application is being processed. If you applied at the same time as other people but have yet to hear, this just means that your application is still being processed and if you are short listed you will be contacted by email.
