Sony eBridge


What it is

eBridge from Sony DADC is a new direct mail service that allows companies to send customised CD/DVDs to individual consumers. The eBridge service from Sony DADC uses a unique code so every CD/DVD can be tailored to the recipient.

When customers put the disc into their computer, they can deal direct with the business to buy goods or services, view profile specific content and find out relevant product information. The inscription means advertisers can observe customer engagement with the disc and calculate the campaign's exact effectiveness.

How it works

eBridge is unique because it’s an interactive disc engaging customers online and offline, allowing advertisers to personalise content while mass producing the CD/DVD.

Sony DADC’s technology enables the inscription of a unique ID onto the CD/DVD, so publishers can identify each disc, with personalised content ranging from pre-completed online registration forms to localised shopping information.

Why it works

The eBridge mailer inscription enables precise measurability at all stages of the campaign, monitoring which customers have viewed the disc, when they engaged (date and time), how often, whether they completed the customer journey or at what stage they fell out.

The unique and patented Postscribed ID is readable by all PCs and Macs, delivering rich, sophisticated interactivity with a clearly defined return path. It makes direct mail more accountable and measurable than ever before – meaning enormous opportunities for marketeers.

How much it costs

The minimum quantity to produce an eBridge mailer is 10,000 units. However, personalisation allows you to include a host of information on any one disk but the customer will only view the content specified for them. So you are able to target several customer categories within the same campaign.
