Getting started
To get started straightaway, simply register on the Mailshots Online website (Opens in a new window). If you need any help, you can download a detailed step-by-step guide to using the service as soon as you have logged in.
Adding a mailing list
To submit your own address data, you can either upload a spreadsheet, or use the online entry form on Mailshots Online. These addresses can then be added to your account, with an option to cleanse the data at an additional charge.
Cleansing could save you money on your mailing, as each removed address costs considerably less than the unit cost of sending a mail piece to an out-of-date or duplicate address.
Please note that you can only send to UK addresses using Mailshots Online.
Purchasing address data
If you want to get your message out to thousands of potential new customers, you can purchase a list from within the Mailshots Online tool.
This is a simple three-step process which lets you search for data most relevant to your needs. For example, if you are sending to businesses, you can specify postcode area, employee numbers, turnover, industry code or job title. For consumers, you can select from postcode area, gender, age range and income range.
Once you’ve approved your list you can either save it or attach it to your mailshot. The cost of the data will be added to the final purchase price of your campaign.
For more complex contact lists, or to discuss the best data options for you, you can contact Royal Mail Data Services on 08706 004 404 or email datasales@royalmail.com.
