Door to Door Spring and Summer Bank Holiday 2012 Bank Holiday Arrangements

Please note that our Walk Bundling Centres (WBC’s) will be closed on the following bank holidays:-

• Friday April 6th (Good Friday)
• Monday 9th April (Easter Monday)
• Monday May 7th (May Day)
• Monday June 4th (Whitsun)
• Tuesday June 5th (HM Queen’s Diamond Jubilee).
• Thursday 12th July Northern Ireland WBC only(Orangeman’s Day)
• Monday 6th August Perth WBC only (August Bank Holiday Scotland)
• Monday 27th August all except Perth WBC (August Bank Holiday England, Wales & Northern Ireland)

Additionally, our Perth Walk Bundling Centre will be closed on Friday 30th November for St. Andrews Day.

Price changes for distributions starting 9th April 2012

We would like to advise you of forthcoming changes to Door to Door pricing tariffs and product specifications. We are making these price changes in order to more accurately align our operational costs with the amount that we charge for the service we provide.

We appreciate that no one likes it when prices go up. That's why we've kept the rises as low as we can, and by acting now you can avoid any additional costs, as distributions that are already bookedand confirmed by 17th March 2012 will not be affected by these changes and will remain valid at current pricing levels.

 

Changes to Royal Mail’s Door to Door Pricing Tariffs

 

Our standard prices will increase by 3.3% from 9th April 2012. This means that the price for an item weighing up to 20g will increase from £60 to £62 per 1,000 items. Click here for full details of our new prices.

Postcode Sector Bandings

For door drop campaigns involving over 200,000 items only we are introducing 3 new pricing bands that more closely reflect the cost of delivery in the areas affected. .

Booking Terms:

All on–line bookings made before 2145 hours on 17th March 2012 will be accepted at our current prices. All other booking application forms must be received by our Sales Centre by 12th March 2012 in order to obtain our current prices; all previously confirmed contracts will also be honoured at current prices provided no amendments are made to the contract.

 

Changes to the Royal Mail Door Product Specifications

 

Increase in standard Door to Door item weight

We have recently been trialling the effect of heavier weight items on our operation. As a result of these trials we are delighted to announce that we are now able to accept standard items of up to 200g in weight. This increased capability has been introduced in response to customer demand and provides you further flexibility in the creative format of the item that call for heavier weights.

Forward Booking Terms

From 17th March 2012 we are changing the number of months in advance that we can accept bookings from 25 months to 13. For all those who have already made bookings for drops on or after 29th April 2013 your contracts are unaffected.

Category Code changes - 28th November 2011

 

As a direct result of Customer feedback we are expanding our Category Codes by six new codes. These will be added to our Online Booking System on 28th November 2011. Making your leaflets interactive

Our Door to Door service has always been a unique way to reach your customers, because your messages arrive along with their daily post. Now, with a click of their smartphone, your promotional leaflet or mail piece takes customers even further – right into the heart of your web space.

Our innovative partnership with Clic2C makes more of your door drop. We embed an invisible digital watermark into your artwork, which customers identify through the Clic2C logo. Booking in your distribution at the Walk Bundling Centres

Up to 13 weeks prior to the start of your distribution you may pre book your handover of items to the Walk Bundling Centres for between 7 and 18 days before the start of your distribution. This means you can switch delivery from the very busy Mondays.

You can pre book delivery slots at the Walk Bundling Centres by phoning 01865 796981 - this enables you to choose when is the best time for you to hand over your distribution and again will save you time.
