When we deliver your item we’ll collect a signature to confirm receipt. We then update our online Track & Trace tool with details of the delivery time and date.

Can I get a refund if my item is not delivered on time?
Yes. Please keep your proof of posting receipt. If your item is not delivered on time we’ll refund your money providing you have your proof of posting and claim within 14 days of posting. If your item gets lost or damaged while it’s in our care, you can make a claim for compensation or consequential loss.

Can I claim compensation if my item is damaged or not delivered?
Yes. Compensation for loss or damaged items must be claimed in writing within 80 days of posting. You should include your proof of purchase receipt and evidence of the item’s value.

For a small fee, Post Offices throughout the UK will accept your items on Friday for 9.00am or 1.00pm delivery on Saturday.
The Guaranteed Saturday delivery fee is listed under 'prices'.
We don't provide Saturday delivery for some types of businesses, including:
- banks,
- building societies,
- travel agents,
- jewellers.

Will Royal Mail pick up my Special Delivery Guaranteed™ items?
Yes. If you spend more than £15,000 a year on our services, we will collect your mail at your premises for free - and that includes Special Delivery Guaranteed™. Otherwise, it costs £775 for an entire year of collections.

Can I buy consequential loss coverage?
If you send an item that would be costly to replace if lost, damaged or delayed in transit, you can buy our consequential loss cover of up to £10,000. This cover could be a wise choice for important documents or tax returns that may result in penalties if lost or not delivered on time. Just ask for consequential loss when you send your item by Special Delivery Guaranteed™.
Make your compensation claims through our Customer Services within 14 days of posting. You’ll need to include the receipt for purchase in order to file the claim.
