If you have a regular contact in Royal Mail, let them know you’re interested in our PO Box® service. Then just download, print, read and complete the application form and terms and conditions.

Hand the completed form to your contact or, arrange to have it scanned and emailed to them. They will take care of the rest for you including validating the application and raising an invoice.

Download, print, read and complete the application form and terms and conditions and send it along with your Direct Debit form or payment and proof of address to our address, below. Please note proof of address must be originals and less than three months old. We will accept two of the following as valid proofs of address:
- Bank or building society statement
- Phone bill for a landline only
- Utility bill (gas, electricity or water)
- Council tax bill
- Royal Mail Account number for an existing service.

Getting started
Guiding you through your PO Box® application
Step 1 - Choose the PO Box® service you want. Either:
- PO Box Collect
- PO Box Delivery
- PO Box with Transfer of Normal Address Mail
Step 2 - Follow the steps outlined in ‘How to Buy’ to purchase a PO Box®.
Step 3 - We will send you confirmation of your application and a card that you will need to present at the Delivery Office when you collect your mail.
Please note, that if you are having your PO Box® mail delivered, you will not receive a card.Step 4 - You can now inform your customers of your new business address and start receiving mail at your new PO Box® address.

How do I cancel my PO Box® and what happens to my mail?
To cancel your PO Box® before the end of the rental period, you must give at least one month's written notice either by email to po.box.team@royalmail.com or by post to:

Unfortunately we can't refund your fees. Once you have cancelled your PO Box®, any further mail addressed to it will be returned to sender. -

Can all my mail be sent to my PO Box®?
All mail delivered by Royal Mail can be sent to your PO Box. You cannot use it for mail sent by other carriers or couriers.

When does my PO Box® expire or need renewing?
We will write to you before your contract expires giving you the option to renew your service.

If you need to know your expiry date, you can email us at po.box.team@royalmail.com quoting your account number and we can confirm this for you.
Please be aware if your rental period expires or the service is withdrawn, we may return incoming mail to the sender, or otherwise dispose of it (if it does not include the senders address details). -
Can I have my mail diverted to my mailing agent?
Yes, if you wish to divert your mail you can use our Diversion service.
