You can claim for lost, damaged or delayed items.
The Royal Mail United Kingdom Scheme, together with Royal Mail's retail compensation policy for lost items, retail compensation for damage and retail compensation policy for delay govern the entitlement to compensation for lost, damaged or delayed items.
Depending on what you are claiming for, you will need different information.
